Andrew R. Rutz
Andrew R. Rutz is a lifetime Hoosier. Rutz earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Maurer School of Law, Indiana University, Bloomington, in 2001 when the Indiana Supreme Court admitted him to practice. Rutz is also admitted to practice before the southern and northern Indiana U.S. District Courts.
Rutz is a member of both the Indiana State Bar Association and the Floyd County Bar Association. Rutz served in the United States Army, active component, from 1996 to 1998 and also served in the reserve component from 2001 to 2025 as a Judge Advocate.
Rutz regularly represents individuals in the areas of estate planning, probate, veterans benefits, real estate, and long-term care planning. Rutz also maintains a strong practice in the Indiana Court of Appeals.
